Pre-installation Requirements

Ensure your device is fully charged before beginning the installation process.
Download the TrackTech mobile app from your device's app store.
Create a TrackTech account if you haven't already.

Step-by-Step Installation

1.Open the Find My App:

On your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch, open the Find My app. Make sure your Bluetooth is turned on and that you have signed in to your Apple ID.

2.Add New Item:

In the Items tab of the app, tap Add New Item. This will allow you to begin the process of registering the accessory.

3.Name and Register the Item:

Follow the onscreen steps to name your item and link it to your Apple ID. This ensures that it is associated with your Apple account for future tracking.

3.Track your Accessory:

After you complete the setup, your accessory will show up in the Find My app. You will be able to:
View the map: See its location on the map.
Play a sound: It is nearby, play a sound to help you locate it.
Enable Lost Mode: If it is lost, you could mark it as “lost” and receive notifications when it is found.

3.Take Advantage of the U1 Chip:

For accessories that support it, you can use the precision tracking available through Apple’s U1 chip, which can guide you to your item with high accuracy. Especially, if you have an iPhone 11 or newer, Apple Watch Series 6 or HomePod mini.

Important Tip:

Make sure your Apple ID is secured with two-factor authentication for added security. Always keep your Bluetooth on for seamless tracking.

Troubleshooting

Device not turning on

Ensure the device is fully charged. If the issue persists, try resetting the device by holding the power button for 10 seconds.

App cannot find device

Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your phone and the device is in pairing mode (LED blinking blue).

Poor tracking accuracy

Check that the device has a clear line of sight to the sky for optimal GPS performance. Avoid installing the device behind metal surfaces.
